Over the last several weeks, USA Fencing has announced the National and Regional schedule for the upcoming fencing season. There will be two major opportunities to fence on the national level in region 6 in the new season. The first event will take place in Orlando, FL October 26-29, where Div1, Div11, Cadet, and ParaFencing events will take place. The next event will be in 2024, where Charlotte, NC will host the Junior Olympic and ParaFencing NAC February 16-19, 2024. To learn more about the national calendar, click here.
On the regional level, there will be a total of 16 region 6 events for fencers interested in participating. There will be two ROC/RYC/RJCC events in Mrytle Beach, SC in November and December 2023 respectively. To learn more about the regional calendar click here.
The USA Fencing board of directors also met over the weekend to discuss and approve new motions moving into the new fencing season. Highlights include the appointment of Amanda Nguyen to the board of directors, a new fencing category for fencers aged 21-39, the approval of a new operations budget, as well as new fee structures for club and fencer memberships.
